Miranda mainly deals with the judicial and extrajudicial management of disputes relating to insurance law, civil law, as well as disputes relating to professional liability in general, as well as D&O, and public entities general liability.
She has specific expertise in maritime law and transport law, dealing, again in the insurance field, with disputes regarding damages occurred during transport.
She is also experienced in the area of civil litigation, having handled judicial disputes on behalf of her clients since the very beginning of her career.
She is currently handling, on behalf of Italian and foreign insurance companies, a considerable number of litigations in the civil law area, concerning cases of professional liability of accountants and technicians, and also cases in the areas of D&O liability, contractual liability, third-party general liability of public entities, and also in the field of transport and shipping law.
Professional experience
She joined the Italian Law firm BTG Legal in 2022.
Prior to joining BTG Legal, she worked in her own law firm, dealing with civil law, mainly in the area of third-party liability of public entities, and also in the field of transport and shipping law.
Before registering in the bar association, she gained experience as a loss adjuster, and continued this activity as a legal advisor for loss adjusting companies, dealing with the areas of medical malpractice, personal injuries, professional liability, D&O, general liability of public entities and transport damages.
Foreign languages: fluent English, basic French and Spanish.
Academic background and memberships
Lawyer, registered in the Livorno Bar Association.
In 2006 she obtained her degree in law at the University of Pisa “La Sapienza” with a thesis in maritime law.
In 2008 – 2009 she attended a preparatory course to qualify as a lawyer at a school of law in Empoli.
In 2010, she qualified as a “Conciliator”, according to Ministerial Decree 222/2004.
In 2010 she passed the qualifying examination for the legal profession and she became a member of the Livorno Bar Association.
She regularly participates to training events and attends specialization courses on insurance law, medical liability, maritime and transport law, as well as refresher courses on civil procedure.
