In particular the Firm has been recently involved, on behalf of some foreign reinsurers, in a major dispute connected with the liabilities arising from a prolonged interruption of electric energy on the national grid following a national black out. The Firm was also involved in assisting the excess insurer of an International Classification Society following the sinking of a passenger vessel with a large number of fatalities generated by the accident.

On behalf of some excess and retrocessionary insurers and in conjunction with the appointed TPA, the Firm assists and advises on coverage issues and in court litigation beside the primary insurers appointed lawyers in major casualties or larger value cases or monitoring court cases. This ensures an impartial and efficient updating and reporting of the progress of each case and a timely reserve review upon any relevant change of circumstances, always in line with the Insurer’s reserving philosophy.
