Born in Augusta on February 6, 1954.

Graduated at the University of Catania in 1978 with a thesis entitled “Education in Ritual Arbitration.”

Registered at the Bar Association of Siracusa in 1984.

Subsequently, Diego was associate, for several years, of a prominent law firm specializing in maritime law in Augusta.

Diego has developed a specialization in labour law, as well as in maritime, customs, and transportation law, specifically dealing with arbitration procedures, the exercise of liens, international disputes, P&I assistance, ship and cargo insurance, goods transportation, bills of lading, general and particular average, collisions, salvage and assistance, pollution, and customs disputes.

Since 2013, he has been an ordinary member of AIDIM – Italian Association of Maritime Law.

Member of the Regional Executive of AGI (Italian Labor Lawyers Association) – Sicily Section.

Member of the Regional Permanent Training Group of AGI (Italian Labor Lawyers Association) – Sicily Section.

Since 2017, Head of the Labor Law Department at the “Pier Luigi Romano” Forensic School in Siracusa, established by the Bar Association of Siracusa.

Diego is participating in numerous labour law conferences as a speaker.
