Benedetta has 5+ years of experience in the Data Protection and Cyber Security. In this area, she is mainly involved in national and international customers assistance aimed at privacy regulation compliance and preparation of related documentation.

She also deals with civil and insurance litigation assisting both Italian and foreign insurers. In the same sectors, it also provides out-of-court consultancy.

As a legal professional, she provides assistance in matters of data protection, web reputation (online defamation, right to be forgotten), and insurance matters both in and out of court. In particular:

a) Compliance activities to the new data protection legislation for national and international customers (by way of example but not limited to, drafting of privacy policy, data processing agreement, DPIA, treatment register);

b) Drafting and updating of privacy policies and GDPR compliance procedures, assistance and support to the data protection officer (DPO), handling data breach; External DPO;

c) Consultancy, preparation of documents, opinions and reports on insurance law for leading insurance companies and national banking institutions.

Background

Before joining BTG Legal Law Firm, Benedetta worked in leading law firms, dealing with data protection, cyber security, civil law and criminal law and has acquired an in-depth and long experience in Data Protection, Intellectual Property, law of new technologies and contracts.

Qualifications

▪ Italian mother tongue, Benedetta is fluent in English and Spanish.

▪ She has attended the postgraduate School of Specialization for Legal Professions at the “La Sapienza” University of Rome and she holds a Master Degree on “Protection of Personal Data: Data Protection Officer & Privacy Expert” from the “Roma Tre” University of Rome.
