She is member of the Livorno Bar since 16.10.2002 and practices as a civil lawyer.

She has focused on insurance law, civil liability, including professional liability, and notably in the area of health care, family and children’s law, workplace safety, and banking law on the client side.

Her professional activity currently focuses mainly on assisting major underwriters in London insurance market, numerous claims settlement companies operating in Italy, and also Italian Public and Private Health Companies.

Professional experience

Giulia has several years of experience in managing and reserving claims for loss adjusters and TPAs in medical/healthcare sector. The attorney handles separations and divorces, child custody, deprivation of parental rights, paternity acknowledgments/disavowals, and everything related to family and children’s law.

She was also a member of the Building Commission of the Municipality of Livorno (2010/2013) and today she’s an Urban Planning and Building consultant.

She was lecturer at training courses for public or private employees, managers, RSPPs in occupational safety training (T.U. D. Lgs 81/2009) for private companies and public bodies in Provincia di Livorno.

She has been involved in direct actions against Credit Institutions to protect consumer interests such as actions for damages from anatocism, usury, erroneous reporting in the Central Risk Centre, cancellation of vexatious policies connected to mortgage contracts, enforcement of sureties, opinions and assistance on bank and insurance sureties. She handles hereditary divisions in both intestate and inheritance succession cases and has also handled testamentary appeals cases due to injury to reserves share and testator natural inability.

Since 2018 she has joined with the Italian firm BTG Legal dealing mainly with professional and health care liability.

Academic backgroud and memberships

Giulia attended Liceo Classico Niccolini Guerrazzi in Livorno and then graduated in Law at the University of Pisa with highest honors (1998) with a thesis on “L’inquinamento marino di idrocarburi trasportati da navi nel diritto internazionale: profili di responsabilità” (EN: “Marine pollution of shipborne hydrocarbons in international law: liability profiles”)

Qualifications: Practice of law (2002). Member of the Livorno Bar Association.

She is professional attorney for Inail and Inps litigation.

Giulia became a Professional Civil Mediator in 2012 and works for several local Mediation Bodies.

She has worked with the Department of Navigation Law and the Livorno Port Authority.
